What size snow tires?
I know its early but I want to get snow tires NOW so I can carry a spare on long trips in the West. Tire size choices are 255-40-18 or 225-45-18. I think the smaller tires will be better in snow. Any thoughts?
What about tires? I'm favoring the Dunlop M3
Final question...I'm going to put TPM monitors in the wheels (aftermarkets are much cheaper than Audi factory ones and compatible) and I assume the 5th tire will not mess up the regular TPM system.

If 17' are preferable to the 18' on the S4 it only seems logical that the 18' would be better.
In snow, a larger contact patch with the tire to the road is a DISADVANTAGE to traction.
