Default What's this beast like once you break 5500rpm.............

That is the most I've taken it up to. Trying to break her in hard, but like those have recommended, with in the guidelines and with no WOT........201 miles on her now......

Default nothing to see here, just move along

One you break her cherry, you'll never want to go back. Only 399 miles to 7K rpm.

Default If you feel that you just have to wait, OK. But

this car really doesn't achieve max performance until 10k miles. You will feel a noticeable improvement up to 5K. 5K-10K there will still be a small increase in the seat of the pants dyno.

Default Be patient, break her in properly...

enjoy the feel and sound of the engine at low(!) revs (<4000) for the first 500 miles, then enjoy the extra power and torque that 6000 rpm brings for the next 500 miles, then finally get to experience the howl that is a V8 at 8000rpm!!!

It's an addictive sound. You soon get used to the acceleration because the seats are both supportive and comfortable, but the deceleration when you ease of the gas always surprises me - that's when you realise just how fast you've been accelerating!

After more than 3 months and over 4000 miles as a daily drive, I still get a silly grin every time I drive my RS4.

Default I stayed under 5k for the first 1200 miles, had ZERO oil loss at 2500 miles for oil change.....

I do believe in a significant amount of engine braking. Down shift every day, all day and it will keep the oil monsters away.
