What's the best way to get rid of the balance/weight stickers off the wheel?

Trying to figure out what is the best way to get rid of the pesky stickers once you remove old lead weights from a bad balancing job. Something that won't ruin the rim. Maybe Goo-Gone?

Any suggestions?

'Goo Gone', available at your local hardware store...

WD-40 will also work and won't affect the paint. Just be sure to clean off both with soap and water when done.

I just did this on two wheels - if you value your fingerprints just douse the stickers with goo...

...and walk away. Let it soak. I was impatient and tried to take the glue off right away, and, four days later I still don't have my fingerprints' 'grip' back!
