""Even a stock 335 should hang with an RS4 based on times that i've seen in mags anyway.""<ul><li><a href="http://www.e90post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=46947">http://www.e90post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=46947</a</li></ul>

The RS4 still has the edge....
When I did the runs vs. various S4's the most disappointing was the modded B6 S4 (my last car), which I destroyed. I would love to run against a 335 just to see what happens.

looks like its a fact...
"Sixty mph arrives in 4.6 seconds and the quarter-mile flashes by in 13.0 seconds at 109 mph, 0.3 second quicker than the last stock 335i with an automatic transmission that we tested. And that's quicker than any stock Evo or Audi RS 4 we've ever tested."<ul><li><a href="http://www.edmunds.com/insideline/do/Drives/Followup/articleId=119485">http://www.edmunds.com/insideline/do/Drives/Followup/articleId=119485</a</li></ul>

Here's what you are not considering.....
The factory claimed 0-60 for the 335i is 5.3 seconds. The fastest tested stock time is 4.8 seconds. Now....the factory claimed 0-60 for a stock RS4 is 4.8 seconds, but the fastest tested time is 4.2 seconds. For comparison sake, the fastest tested 0-60 time of a stock M5 is 4.2 seconds. You can't look at the fastest published time for one car vs. the slowest for the other. The fastest Vishnu tuned 335i 0-60 of 4.6 is 0.1 seconds faster than slowest tested time for the RS4. Edmunds wording would lead you to believe that somehow, the Vishnu 335 is SO much faster. Keep in mind that the RS4 motor is more sensitive to break-in than most. Big difference in an engine with 500 miles vs. one with 5000. Likely the difference in the bimmer's motor won't be so dramatic. You can try and convince yourself all you want, which is what you are trying to do, but the RS4 is faster. Period.

Road & Track disagrees...
as do most other publications...edmunds evidently got the slowest RS4 ever tested.
