Wheel cleaner and brushes
I know someone once posted suggestions for good wheel cleaning fluid and brushes, but I can't find it in all the old posts. If anyone has a suggestion I'd be grateful.

for cleaner go with P21S GEL. Its PH neutral so it won't harm wheels like acid cleaners...
and the GEL version will stay on the wheel longer without scrubbing.
Spray it on the wheels and let it sit for as long as you like. Then just agitate with a brush and rinse off.
Phil from Detailers Domain (forum sponsor) sells it (as well as many other places).

for convenience (no one carries P21s locally) I use Armor All Quicksilver wheel cleaner.
safe for all wheel types, and at $6 a bottle it works as well as P21S...and you don't have to order it, pay for shipping, etc.
the better approach is to get different brake pads...my Porterfields have cut brake dust down to almost nothing. the rear wheels now get dirty before the fronts.

I don't use any cleaner on the wheels that I wouldn't use on the paint.
After all, the wheels ARE painted. IOW, regular car wash soap AFTER the body paint is cleaned. I use a 4-brush system on the wheels to bust the road crud loose. Three different brushes for the brakes, rotors, inside the wheels, then a boars hair brush for most other painted wheel surfaces.

Got a Cost Plus Market nearby? Go to the cleaning section. They have a 3 pack of
nice fuzzy cotton tipped small diameter bottle brushes that are just perfect for fitting into the crannies of the stock RS4 wheels. Rinse out easy too.
