Default Wheel resurfacing.. or should I just get new wheels?

What do you say? Worth the cost? Will it really be undetectable?

I've had some unfortunate curbside intervention lately due to some emergency maneuvers.

Default I just found out one of mine is beyond repair. The rim is cracked and warped in the........

spoke area. A guy I know recommended having the rim sawed in half so I can hang it on the wall in the stable. He has quite a large collection of rims from cars he owned over the years. Lambo, Ferrari and Porsche. Just an idea incase you decide on new rims and one is beyond use.

Default gtc had some success with minor resurfacing.

He posted this about 2 weeks ago, I believe.

Default don't cut it in half, just hang it on the wall and use it for a hose reel.

some guy in the TT forum did that years ago, but I can't find the pic.

Default yikes, shouldn't be happening...

maybe got a bad batch or, and i don't want to upset anyone, maybe due to those difficult tire mountings? the warping and cracking...

Default I got a wheel resurfaced recently and had a good experience with it.

You might try giving Jim Farnham a call, but he is out in San Bruno. The good part is that he works off hours from his garage and gets the job done without the hassle of most of the other places I looked into. The price is good too.

Besides, its probably gonna get scratched again. Can't go get new rims each time. Or can you? =]

https://forums.audiworld.com/norcal/msgs/58161.phtml</a
