When is the first service for RS4?
I am getting a slightly used one (5,000km - 3,000 miles for those still on Imperial). When is the first service due (I obviously don't have a manual yet)
I've seen a few reports of RS4's needing additional oil prematurely, I guess I should have that checked.
What do people think about paying for what used to be the all inclusive service? I can still get it if the vehicle doesn't have it.

good thing we don't count on you for the rules of logic
i never said that RI_RS4's particular oil analysis will necessarily lead to the penultimate set of steps.
what i said was that he has the most well researched view, meaning that every time he lays out his case he provides much more empirical reasoning and uses much more of his engineering knowledge than anyone else yet on this forum.
now you can do it the Bob way if you want, or anyway you want. i don't care.
but if I am to judge based on who is most likely to know what the hell they're talking about and having researched the issue to the hilt, i'll go with RI's view on this.
the only thing we can count on you for is illogical yet amusing dry wit. thanks for my evening dose. cheers..

hmm...let's examine this.
you're implying that one person's empirical reasoning (based on one oil analysis) and engineering knowledge (?) is more compelling than that of the manufacturer who employs dozens of engineers who designed, tested, and built the car? The same manufacturer who has to PAY for any defects in the car for the first 50,000 miles of use?
Yeah, you're right that's much more logical.

The emperical data that he has at least has some scientific credability .
Granted it is the smallest sample that could be had, but IMHO, it provides more credability that just doing what Audi says. I guess it is akin to having blind faith in GOD, which Audi isn't. No blastphemy intended

Precisely what I attempted to convey. RI's methods are explained, Audis are just regurgitated in..
every manual for every car it has.
Tell me which one sounds more like blind faith and bean counting *** covering vs. actually well thought out strategy?
