cool... 70,000 miles you say that's excellent.

How many sets of pads did you go through?

Believe it or not, I am still on the stock pads...
A lot of highway and down-shifting in lieu of standing on the brakes!

nice, this would seem to tell me you know how to use the brakes and treat the machine with mechanical sympathy...

the e46 M3 euro rotors are good for at least 70-80k also...

why are so many having to replace RS4 rotors at 20k or so?
is it the pad rivets?
I've read (on here) that the rivets damage the rotors before the wear sensor trips...is this true?

I have also had to replace my front rotors & pads at about ~25k (miles), but almost all of my miles are in-town. I'm not sure what is causing the rotors to wear so quickly, but I would assume it's a combination of the possibly soft materials used + all my in-town driving...

Most Def the case... those pins left slight grooves in my rotors. I picked up a set of pads from Zeckhausen for $140.... so far there fantastic. No dusting , no noise and very reasonable price.

I got a set as well. This coming weekend I will be doing brake pads front the rear. Also flashing the brake fluid with ATE Super Blue. I looked for any write ups but except one for the front brakes I have not found any. I will try to take pics and make comments on the install.

Cheers

Nick

Install is a joke, srsly takes more time to remove the wheel than the pads.
The only thing that was a slight pain in the *** was the clip for the sensor. You need to turn it 90 degree's then it will slide out .

Very good thanks. I usually take my time and make sure I clean parts and put plenty anti squeal grease on the pins and the back of the pads so I am sure with the flush it would take most part of the morning.

Regards

Nick
