why buy a new RS4 vs. 07 low mileage?
if depreciation is such a known issue with Audis, I am wondering why anyone would pay $75k+ for a new 2008 RS4 vs. low $60s for a lightly owned 2007?
other than concerns about engine break-in or the emotional issue that someone else has driven the car?
i am in the market and getting serious about this... the earliest allocation locally is to arrive in February... a long time to wait. There are several on autotrader with less than 5k miles...
anyone consider going this route?

If your leasing, new is way better...
I priced leasing a mildly used 07 vs. a new 08. The new 08 was a better money factor making the payment $30.00/month cheaper plus you get iPod intergration n the last MYB7 RS4.

is this true? if there are any dealers on this site, I am looking to buy

My local Dallas dealers are only willing to sell at sticker, so I am either going to buy from an out of state dealer and ship... OR purchase pre-owned with very low miles

Generally a lower risk proposition buying new. No worries about a wreck, flood damage, a lemon. Of
course you pay for that privelege. If you do your homework, buying lighly used works well.

If they aren't, they should be... there are 144 listed on Auto Trader today...
thus, there is no shortage of cars available, either new or low mileage used in any color you like.
I've been following a lot of these ads and many cars have been sitting at the dealers for months now. At some point it becomes a Catch 22... you can't discount the car because your flooring costs have eaten up all the profit... but you can't sell it unless you discount it. Most dealers are arrogant and don't want to budge on price. They feed you the line that the RS4 is so hard to find. BS. They are out there and readily available.
Like most any Audi, all these cars drop like a rock in value once they leave the dealer's lot. Guys selling or trading within a year or less are taking a huge loss. For starters you eat the $2100 GGT and also sales tax, which in the People's Republic of Washington State is gonna hit you to about 9.3%.
Bottom line: as nice as these cars are, I don't think they are selling right now and there should be room to negotiate. Personally, I hope prices drop so I can buy one :-)
