Default Why are so many RS4 Cabs resold with very low mileage?

For such a low volume car, I have seen at least six resold with less than 1000 miles and many more with under 7500 miles. This is rarely the case for the sedan. Any ideas? (I am considering the purchase of a low mileage resale cab).

I guess people change their mind. RS4 Cab is the best of both worlds. If I was back in the market for an RS I probably would have gone for one. Fun in the sun and capable in foul weather. Plus if one goes out there are a number of M3 cabrios at a quite nice price as well.

Cheers

Nick

I had the same question about the RS4 sedan. More than 13% of the RS4s officially sold in Canada in 07 and 08 model years are currently listed for sale on Autotrader.ca.
That's a lot of people changing their minds awfully fast. THis is my first "exotic". Maybe exotic owners get bored quickly and move on to the next greatest thing ?

Makes sense, I get the itch very often to change cars. Went from 2007 Audi S4 cab->2008 RS4 cab->2009 R8.

I wonder if some of these owners ran into some financial problems, and had to sell?! I am assuming that most RS4s owners can actually afford these cars...even if their incomes and portfolios decreased somewhat in the last 1-2 years, but you never know. Coincidence?

There is always the chance - things like expensive cars can be the first things to go when people lose their jobs.

The Cab was just never a huge hit. My store got 3. We sold 2. I have one sitting in my showroom that is still technically new. We wrote the car down and my boss demo'd it for a bit.
