Default Curious why that's necessary...

I lived in Colorado for 5 years and spent a LOT of time up in the Summit area in the winter and never needed anything other than deicing wiper fluid. Under what conditions is the heated fluid really advantageous?

Default Heated Windshield was discontinued from all GM models - very problematic system.

To: Dealer Operator and New Vehicle Sales Manager

Subject: Discontinuance of Heated Windshield Washer Fluid System (Option XA7 or CHW)

Please be advised that effective immediately GM will no longer make available the Heated Windshield Washer Fluid System (option XA7 or CHW) on any GM Vehicle. Therefore, the following criteria will apply:

·Orders currently in-system (event 30-38) will have this option (XA7 or CHW) deleted and the appropriate credit applied.

The affected vehicle lines include:

·Buick: Enclave, Lucerne
·Cadillac: CTS, DTS, Escalade, Escalade ESV, Escalade EXT
·Chevrolet: Tahoe, Suburban, Avalanche, Silverado, Traverse
·GMC: Acadia, Yukon, Denali, Yukon XL, Denali XL, Sierra, Sierra Denali

Default Not really necessary but really handy for de icing or freeing up the frozen snow packed wipers

Also defrosting the windshield without scraping.

Course... 420 HP isnt really necessary either.
