would someone please point me to the link for the de-flapping procedure?

I'm not quite sure if the dealership would do it
But basically it involves removing the bottom part of the airbox and then unscrewing the horn from it and splitting the horn open and taking the butterfly valve out or just remove the horn completely.

um...probably don't want the dealer to do that.
depending on the dealership, they may refuse to do it anyway. if you can't do it yourself, i think your best bet is to find a local tuner shop. it's very simple....just remove the airbox (top and bottom), and then remove the lower airhorn, which has the flap and actuator mechanism attached. you can either reinstall the horn (after removing the flap), or just leave the horn out altogether. I logged MAF with and without the horn, and got slightly higher readings without the horn, FWIW.

it may void the warranty *especially* if the dealer does it.
if the dealer does it (and I would be VERY surprised if they agreed to do it), they'll know your airbox is modified. if you or someone else does it, the dealer probably would never notice. it's not like they ever have to remove the airbox for routine maintenance.

trust us, do it yourself.
It's easy to do, and your dealer will NEVER notice it's gone until they have to change the air filter (which probably isn't for awhile), and even then they probably still won't notice.
