Default You guys think there will be a B8 RS4 ?
Curious because I would LOVE to upgrade just for the interior electronics (ipod compatability for one thing).. Hopefully the wouldn't screw up the original formula with class leading performance/handling with the new version, IF it does come out.

I am not sure they will make one tho, with the RS6 being on tap for the next 2 years after the B7 RS4...

Default I don't think there will be one.
as you said the RS6 is next, then probably the RS5, and by the time they're done with that, the B8 platform will be dated. also note there was no B6 RS4.

Default If there is, it might be years away...
These might come first:
RS6
RS5
TT-RS
R10 (not sure if this will be built by Quattro GmbH)

Unless they start to produce more then one RS car at a time, we might not see the B8 RS4 until the last two years of the B8.

Default Yes - but it will be based on demand for the regular A4 and S4
and will be only done when they have excess capacity and need to invigorate the model line to help it compete with BMW

Default Typically RS models have been introduced towards the end of a models lifespan.
Case in point the B5 and B7 RS4 & the C5(?) RS6.
