zOMG! OIL CONSUMPTION!!!!...
j/k ;-)
just back from 1000 mile road trip, in intense heat both ways. at 300 miles into trip, with 800-ish total on the clock, Min Oil light came on. pulled over and put 1/2 qt of Mobil 1 synthetic in to top off.
300 miles later, after lots fo LA city driving, light came on again while on freeway home. another half quart and everything is fine another 300 miles later.
seems like maybe it need more than a 1/2 the first time, but was having trouble reading the dipstick with the engine that hot. very low viscosity and no discernible mark on the stick.

no way - they're delicious. (i knew that was coming)...
...typically, none. but after the light came on, i whipped off a ramp and picked up 2 quarts, just in case.
but i keep a quart of the "rare spec" oil that the RS6 needs. not likely finding that too many places.
most gas stations, especially full service, carry at least full syn 5W-30, if not 40.

Re: zOMG! OIL CONSUMPTION!!!!...
I just added a quart at 300 miles, but I don't know where it was to start. So, we'll see how the next 300 go.
You must have been doing some highway cruising-most miles I've seen remaining is 250, right after filling up.

the one that doesn't fvcking keep time...
;-)
submariner - very thoughtful gift from my wife. all black around dial, instead of black/red. i'm not a watch guy, so i like how minimal it is.
i like the design, but if i don't wear/wind it constantly, it dies.

With what looks like...
7500 miles on the clock, not a good sign. You mentioned low viscosity oil. What weight and what brand?... assuming you've had an oil change done already. I also don't see min oil light coming on for 1/2 down from full, so it must have been down more than 1/2 qt worth...both times.
