Default 1st -2nd gear transition?

What are owners thoughts on the shift.
Mines slightly clunky at the shifter (its fine going down)
I think the dealer will be hearing about it.
I've only 375kms on the beast.
I certainly hope its not the start of a citrus variety.

I think the shifter should feel superb. Could you be more specific? Either way though check it out.

Theres a slight clunk into 2nd at anything above say 4000rpm
Just in the shift not the engaging of the gear.
Yeh for sure I'll get it checked out on Monday.

Get it checked - that shift should be as smooth as soft butter.

Default A good number of people on this board have noted that a steeper learning curve applies to this car

when trying to achieve nice smooth shifts. They said that early on they really had to concentrate to achieve a smooth shift but eventually they adapted. These were experienced manual drivers so I wouldn't doubt it. You might want to try a search there were a number of threads on this issue. Personally,I always have trouble adapting to a new car so I am not a good bar from which to measure.

Default True for the clutch, but the shifter gates for the 1-2 transition should be totally painless.

Performing a smooth shift (combination of clutch, gear change, throttle modulation) is another matter entirely

I've noticed a rough transition from 1st to 2nd as well and I'm no beginner.
