2004 Audi S4 codes. HELP!!!
I have a 2004 Audi S4 with 97k on it. Today, I ran it early in the morning, and earlier in the afternoon. Everything seemed to work fine. Then, late this afternoon I went out to head to my favorite parts store and when I started it, it didn't want to start at first. Once it started it runs really rough. If I rev it it still runs rough. First I checked codes. It has a p0300 code for multiple random cylinder misfires. Then after doing a little research someone suggested that I disconnect the MAF sensor. Did that. Started car and it still ran rough, then codes popped up for cylinder 3 and 4 for misfires. Didn't fix anything. Plugged back in. Disconnected the battery thinking that maybe the ECM needs to recalibrate itself. This also didn't solve the problem. I'm really hoping that it isn't a timing chain guide or something related to the timing chain assembly because all b6 guys know that means $$$$$. Luckily I have the money set aside for the timing chain m, but was kinda hoping I wouldn't have to dig into it just yet! Any advice on what I should check is GREATLY appreciated!
