2006 audi s4 4.2l misfire #1-4

So I'm working on a 2006 Audi s4 4.2 l,It's misfiring cylinders 1 to 4 and the intake manifold is making a rattling noise. I checked the coils, replaced the sparkplugs, checked signal to injectors,at the end I decided to replace bank 1 timing chain, tensioners, and cam adjuster, with the same misfire and codes.I also did a compression test, both banks are the same and with in spec.Wondering how to check cam adjustment with Vagcom(phasing)? I did go into section 91,92,& 93, but not sure what the specs are suppose to be on this engine for phasing.I know bank 1 and two are at 7,which doesnt sound that bad.I did check fuel trim and it looks like bank one is running rich when you accelerate compared to bank two.

wait...you pulled the motor and replaced part of the timing chain? Wow. May want to replace all of the guides...they're what fails.

Not sure on the random multiple misfires. Intake manifold bolts on this car have/had a tendency to back themselves out slightly, causing some weird symptoms. Make sure it's tightened down nicely (although I'm sure you already did)

You dont need to pull the motor to just do one bank, we replaced all chain related parts on bank one including adjustable cam gear, which is related to the codes misfire 1 to 4, there was some slight slack in the chain, thats why we did it.We also had the intake apart and noticed all the bolts holding the flaps in place were loose, we tightened them as well but rattle and misfire is still there.Im wondering what camshaft phasing in groups 91 to 93 is suppose to be?I know audi 2.8l 6cyl engine, 6 is suppose to be max for phasing.

I had recently purchased a 2005 A6 c6 4.2. and ran fine. It has 160k on it. It started to misfire one day so I changed all the plugs and coil. Still ran like crap (actually got worse). Had a bad popping noise at the intake.Found loose bolts, replaced check valves and oil jet and intake gaskets.Still misfiring!Ok So we dropped the engine! Removed the timing chain cover at the back and found a broken guide! Is it known that the adjusters to become defective causing it to misfire though?? Waiting for parts and tools at this point. Any pointers for how to time this 4.2??

I replaced the cam sensor on the passenger side in the back of my S4 4.2 because I took it to a place called mouse meat and Tacoma Washington when I got the car back it was still misfiring it drove like it has no power I went back to them he told me that it could be possible chains have been stretched in the motor I've also change spark plugs and coil packs I also unplug the air flow mass sensor just to see if the pitch of the motor changes is still miss fired wow the air flow Mass was unplugged they say if it runs rough with air flow Mass unplug it's doing its job if the engine still running like it's misfiring what is plugged in possibly bad air flow Mass don't know what else to do
