Already STFA, but...already did XM sat install but have questions on blue connector and others
Just bought 2005.0 S4 Avant:
Just added XM sat tuner, did not need splitter as antenna was two wire and it works fine, but....
1. What is extra blue connector for after brown and green one go in sat tuner with two blades? Is that for RNS-E?
2. What can I do for I-Pod hookup that is easiest without head unit hassle? Don't want tape interface, etc.
3. Is RNS-E worth it (as in how hard is install and how functional is it) as opposed to simply going Garmin/Magellan (even though dash or suction look is lame?
TIA!

1) If I remember correctly the blue connector is for the gps antenna.
2) read #3
3) the rns-e is totally worth it. with the new firmware you can add an ipod or mp3 player. It will basically give you a auxillary input. its very easy to install and most sellers sell the entire kit that you'll need for the install. You'll just need to find someone locally with a VAG to set a couple things. the rns-e functions very well. I find it easier to use than my wifes Lexus nav. To me and to her that thing is a nightmare to operate.

May I ask, how much do these kits usually run? Got iDrive with nav in my 135i and i can't believe that I've gone without nav in my S5...
