Default anyone have any clue what this warning light is?

Sorry I dont have a picture right now as I just got to work and the light came on on my way in. It is identical to the low beam symbol except that it has a left turn arrow in the top right corner of the symbol. I looked through the whole owners manual and couldnt find it in there and I also have no clue what it is so I cant really do a search for it on here. I thought it might be the left turn signal, but after I shut the engine down and started it back up the light wasnt there and all the lights work ont he car. Any help would be great.

Default Actually it is a light sensor warning. There is an Audi TSB for it.

I just had mine into service for this. It has taken Audi 1 1/2 years to figure this problem out. The reality is that there is a faulty sensor in the inside rear view mirror. Either the entire mirror or just the sensor needs replacement. It will take 2 visits. 1 to diagnose the problem. The other to fix it after the parts are ordered. What you really should do is to click on JDBlueAudiS4s signature, and you will find a link to B6 S4 TSBs(it also applies to B7s). Click on this and light sensor is the last one. Print it out and take it along to give to service. Believe me, if you don't they might say that they won't fix it because it didn't throw a code. The Code is removed after 40 starts.

Default Don't worry about it. I bet your headlamp switch is set on "auto". Correct?

You will occasionally get the warning when you leave the headlamp on auto.

Default I had an intermittent light sensor warning when I vag-commed my car yesterday...

I've never noticed the auto sensor not working. Should I worry about it? What symptoms did you have when your light sensor wasn't working? TIA.

No symptoms, just an annoying light for 1 sec, but 25 times in a year and a half
