B6 engine mystery
Hi All,
First post here. Excited to see what everyone has done with their S4.
Here is the background on my new purchase...
2005 S4 with 167k on the odometer. Has new coil packs but has misfires on bank 2. I'm going to check the intake flapper valve, and maybe the fuel injectors, but my gut says it's likely the bank 2 cam has slipped a tooth.
I want to exhaust the simple stuff before biting the bullet on an engine pull.
If it comes to pulling the motor I will likely do a rebuild at the same time. I know those linked rings make parts a premium but comes with the territory.
Any other suggestions I might try?
