Car is at 30K, but car's computer says it's time for 35K service - do it or wait until 35K?

Did they perform the 25k service early
Or they did the 25k service and then set the interval at 5K. When was the last time the car was serviced?
I change my oil every 5k miles. If your last full service was done at 25k then I say just have the oil and filter changed at 30k.

Then all I would do is an oil and filter change
They probably set the interval to 5k when they did the last service.
My dealer does an oil and filter change for $100. A bargain. I've heard others on here say their dealer charges much more.

I'm having the same struggle. I did the "25K" service early at 23K and now it has been a year and I'm at almost 29K but the indicator is on based on 12mos since last service rather than miles. Obviously needs an oil change but full service is about $475 at an independent ($750 at dealer!) and it is starting to seem silly to do the "35K" at 29K actual miles of easy freeway driving in a mild climate (N. California). That said, I'm off warranty, and did not buy an extended warranty so it would be good to catch or prevent any problems early. At my pace, 35K actual miles is probably a year from now, so leaning towards an oil change and maybe air filter only but appreciate any other opinions. Everything else seems mostly to be "checks".
