Car was also leaking oil. Valve cover gasket is being replaced...so is the ignition...

and i'm sure that wont fix the intermittent no start since jiggling the ignition makes no difference. I guess when I get my car back some day I can look forward to another dealer visit to have more parts replaced. A dealership tech at our other dealership in town who is a buddy says, "You bought a CPO S4 didnt you? Because the S4 is about a reliable as the old 2.8" Great.

Re: Car was also leaking oil. Valve cover gasket is being replaced...so is the ignition...

There's just so much to go wrong with these cars, all the technology...although ignition switches shouldn't be one of them. Valve cover gaskets, yeh. Starters, maybe, but not on 04's with 50k+ miles.

Yeah, my 1.8t was boosting 29psi sometimes on the track and never had a single...

problem with it racing it for a year in the Florida heat. The 2.0 FSI turbo car likewise was running 20psi on a K03 and 21psi on an upgraded turbo and not a single issue. I'm starting to get worried. Oh well. This car will be gone within a year and on to another one. Not pleased though.

Some seem to be more problematic than others...

my 05 B6 has had no problems whatsoever, knock on wood. Only 15k miles though.
