Driver door window switch troubleshooting
Hi guys, hoping someone in the community has come across this problem and can help me identify the correct parts before I pull my door apart.
The driver door window switch doesn't work, but only for the driver window. The backlight is out. The backlight for the adjacent lock/unlock button is also out, although that still works to control the locks.
Is it just one light source for both switches? My move is to replace the window switch assembly?
Car is a 2006 S4
Thanks!

What you can try is to to check:
1. Check the codes (e.g. with VCDS/factory tool) this may give you more details.
and/or
2. Check if the wiring is loose/disconnected partly to the switch
