Anyone know why the S4 makes that whirring sound all the time? The one feature that my old BMW had over the S4 -- and I much prefer the S$ -- is the sound. The BMW sounds like an engine, very throaty. The S4 whirs all the time. It's too bad.

where it's in the front. Therefore you constantly hear it, whereas in most other cars it's imperceptible.

Actually that doesn't cause a whine. Its the gear driven accessories in the engine that cause whine.
