I have decided to go with a FI Catback for my B6 S4 Tip. I have placed my order with Danny but need to confirm my resonator size. Because I have tip I have been told to be aware of the drone between 1500-1900 rpm. I need to decide between an 8" and 12" resonator. I am going with x-pipe. I want the car more on the "exotic" side and less on the "muscle" side. In other words, more Ferrari and less Mustang.

I have read a lot of the comments on this and other forums. Frankly, I have been confused by what I have read. Some say there is drone and others say there is none. I have come to realize that this is probably because everyone hears something different. I have only seen one person come on strong and say that the drone was so annoying that he decided to take the catback off and go back to stock.

I would really appreciate getting some final thoughts from members of this forum who own a FI Catback. What size and what can I expect in terms of sound? The Youtube sound clips have been helpful but only show start up or drive off sound. I have no idea of cabin noise. Thanks.

I have an AWE catback system with no resonator. Sounds so good.

with resonators for my catback (milltec),because i knew i may want to go DP's in the future,which i did..(Labree),which really increased the exterior noise levels,while the cabin still pretty quiet,but a nice noticable where one can have conversations in the car,even with windows down. If one was not to do DP's,id go Non resonated for the overall sound,thats just me. FI has a nice looking system,no doubt! Good luck.
