Default 4GB cards work fine in my RNS-E, but it only recognizes the first 2GB of files...

And it ignores file names or folder names that are over 64 characters in length (this is is also true for cards that are less than 4GB)

Default SD Cards that are greater than 2GB needs

to be SDHC compliance so make sure it has the SDHC logo on the 4GB card before you buy it since there are still a lot of non-compliant cards (>2GB) out there.

SDHC stands for Secure Dightal High Capacity meaning anything that's is greater than 2 GB.

Even though you brought SDHC cards, there is no garantee that the full 4GB will be recognized by RNS-E because the SD card reader in RNS-E needs to be SDHC capable as well. So for now (RNS-E), I suggest you stick with a maximum of 2GB card; or at least until we get a firmware upgrade for the RNS-E unit.

Hope this helps.

RNS-e can only recognize a combination of 512 files and folders per SD card.

Default Ohh. I was wondering why nothing worked

I don't know if it is just my RNS-E, but I can barely get smaller SD cards to work. It barely loads 2 cds per card. 64 characters is the absolute max??

Default I wrote a simple Windows app to analyze the SD paths...

<center><img src="http://www.optimumx.com/download/pathanalyzer_beta.png"></center><p>It's called PathAnalyzer.exe. It's pretty basic and could use more functionality but I find it useful. You can download it here:<ul><li><a href="http://www.optimumx.com/download/pathanalyzer_beta.zip">http://www.optimumx.com/download/pathanalyzer_beta.zip</a</li></ul>

Default That's so not true!

The RNS-E will NOT read SDHC cards at all, only SD cards.

You can get SD cards up to 4GB, and that's what I use all the time.

Any SDHC cards you buy will not work in the RNS-E at all, you'll have to return them or sell them on eBay.
