I believe this is the build date on my wife's failed engine:

I know the engine is F'd but that thing is clean. Keep it and call it art...
malfunctioning art. Doubt the wife would go for it. I'd like to see her try to trow it away!

Just back from the dealer, the build date on the new engine is...
...July 3, 2006. Hopefully all the sinister valve springs were used up before this engine was built. The engine and transmission have been installed and the tech was busy underneath the car. I believe it will be back on the road this weekend baring some unforseen event.
