Looking at buying private - guy says his car has factory warranty AND CPO warranty?!
So the 2005 car has 22k miles now so what's left of the factory warranty & then once that is up he says it's got the 2 year, up to 100k mile warranty?!?!
Is this possible? Can it be purchased when you buy the car???

He's probably not the first owner. If he bought it CPO before like Q306, it is transferable for $
Factory warranty stays in effect until it expires and THEN the CPO warranty kicks in. There are differences in coverage between the two.

Probably an extended warrantee, not CPO.
I purchased an extended warrantee, transferable to increase the factory to 6 years 100K. I am debating about selling my car privately because of this.

Its possible I have it on my car.....
Both Audi 4yr 50k and CPO for 2 years/100k miles. There were a few S4's (like mine) that the dealer punched. By punch I mean started the warrentee clock on them prior to selling the cars. They could have been used as a dealer demo car or as a service loaner (in my case).
Dealers did this so they could get a huge load of money back from Audi of NA. (3-4 grand I think)
My car was a service loaner car but I got it with like 20 miles on the clock so as you can imagine it was never really loaned out to anyone.
Easiest way to tell is to get the VIN, check with the local dealer that services the car as to when the warrentee is up. They should be able to confirm it being a CPO.
