Default Mods Questions:

So stupid question - will there be a turbocharger for the 4.2 V8? Seems that the previous V6 you could mod the heck out of, I am new to the high perfomance scene (I love the sound of that V8) but wonder if there will be as many options with this engine?

Default Not as many as the B5 engine...

Although you dont get the V8 growl. Best mods for these cars are: exhaust, chip, suspension, brakes, and weight reduction at the wheels...intakes for these cars are really no help.

Default Intakes on the market may sound good, but no power gains..........

to be had. I see that changing over the next couple weeks. Hold your breath. my car has been in the shop for two weeks and I should have a working prototype by Thursday. Then off to Stasis to pay a visit to the mustang. 5 months of development should result in something more than a cool sounding intake. Although we are expecting multiple visits to the dyno.

Default No way in hell......

there will be turbo for this motor. MTM makes a supercharger for about $30K (I think that's the price). Not enough space for turbos/heat. If you really want to mod the motor, stick with the 2.7 TT. It can be made faster relatively cheaply.

Default Too bad there already is...

It's just custom and one-off situations

There's one twin-turbo in GB and another single turbo in Ohio that I know of

Default Everyone is waiting with anticipation..............

but are very reluctant to share to much. Me personally am very excited. Dr. Q and I had some great ideas, but then to have a shop poor a bunch of R&D into it is even better. Without a shop to support it, it would have taken an eternity to develop. If everything goes well the (Group) will have a stamp on this product. Very exciting to say the least.
