Default Oh god, I am giddy with excitement -- From my dealer on the RS4

If you've been following any of the recent RS4 threads on various audi related sites, you know there is a lot of speculation and very little fact about the RS4's price & delivery.

Recently, there were two separate meetings that discussed future products: the annual dealer forecast meeting with our regional management and a new product review for dealer principles & sales managers.

We learned the following about the RS4 from the above meetings:
- Ordering details should be available very shortly,

- SOP (Start Of Production) is (still) scheduled for 1/13/06

- Block* delivery to dealers is (still) scheduled for 3/24/06

- RS4 will be MY 2007.
* Means all cars are released from port on the same day.

Pricing: As of now, the "ESTIMATED" base price is $66,000 FOB factory - current destination charge is $720. and we do not know if a Federal "Gas Guzzler" Tax will be imposed. It is not anticipated that the RS4 will have very many options.

We also found out a little more about upcoming "S" cars. A V-10 (supposedly Lamborghini/Audi) engine will be in the 2007 S6 (420HP) & S8 (450HP) due out in late 3rd, early 4th quarter of 2006.

Yeah, though I find it interesting that the gas guzzlertax is not assumed. I guess these will be the options:

Special paint
Nav
Sat radio
Carbon ceramic brakes
Adaptive headlights
18 inch wheel option
Parktronic
Tire pressure thingy
Interior trim
Sun shade
Solar sun roof

I am looking at 18 inch wheels, Tire pressure, sat radio and nav(I think). I wold love the carbon brakes, but the Porsche ones were such a disaster, I just don't want to deal.

Default I'd be surprised if we will see the Solar roof over here.

Most likely the 18" will be a $0 option.
Tire pressure may be standard as it is on the A6.
It makes sense with the RS4.
Ceramic brakes...I'd be very surprised as well.

Default Options??

RS4.com, or Fortitude has pictures of an RS4 with Ceramic brakes. I just figured the solar roof would be an options, as it is on the cars in the UK. The 18 wheel option, better be zero cost.
