Pro's and Con's of the chain drive?

No expensive timing belt replacement

Con's of the chain drive
1. A little noisier
2. Cost, perhaps 3. A rubber timing belt insulates the valve train from crankshaft harmonic vibrations, which results in more accurate valve timing. Some race motors actually convert from timing chains to rubber belts because of #3; but IMHO, ebock's one pro is more valuable. Periodioc chain replacement is probably still necessary, but perhaps at 200k miles rather than 50k. |
Big engine fits in small engine bay. ;-)

The chain is in the back of the engine... pull the engine to replace it?
