Default Stock Tires

Do you guys all get those contintal summer tires or do you have a choice of all season? Wouldn't everyone have to buy another set of tires if they bought a new S4 now? Just wondering if it's the same as B5.

Default Re: Stock Tires

continental sport 2 comes stock with s4. i have to get some all season ones. I was planning on getting michelin pilot sport a/s but am a bit confused as how I am going to approach the dealer. Would the dealer get them for me and bill me outrageously for the convenience or do I bring them there when the car comes (4+1 spare from tirerack.com)? How much would they charge hehe for putting them on, balancing, etc. What do you guys do?

Default Completely up to your dealer...

Some may work with you on it, others may not.

If your dealer is willing to budge from MSRP, they may help you with the tires.

If they won't, odds are they won't do anything with the tires, either.

Odds are very good that I will have to buy tires myself from Tire Rack, have them mounted when they come in and dispose of the stock tires on eBay.

Default You really should get dedicated snow tires and wheels for Michigan winters.

A set of Pilot Sport A/S mounted and balanced with tax is going to be about a grand, give or take a few bucks. I paid $1350 for my 17" Ronals with Nokian WR tires.

That way you'll have the best tires for three seasons (summer tires) and the best for the winter too.

the dealer is gonna put winter all season tires on there when the car comes (not sure if there will be a charge or what). I don't know which tire but they said it will be all season.

you need to get outside and dance for some. I hear the east coast is a winter wonderland. My guess they did a lot of dancing. =)
