Synchros being replaced, replace clutch? (only 23k miles)

After having the car for 45 days and finally realizing it wasn't my driving causing issues in 1st/2nd, the dealer told me it is my synchros after all. They've ordered the parts and will offer to replace my clutch for about $600-650 next week. Given that the car has only 23k miles on it, should I go ahead and replace the clutch? It's probably been hurt a bit since I bought it as I re-adjust to life in a manual world, but it certainly hasn't been torched (just a few rough launches early on).

I supppose if the previous driver killed the synchros, maybe the clutch is worn as well? At this point I'm going to wait until they have it all out and can tell me the wear on it before I pull the trigger.

Thoughts?

At that price, I'd do it. Consider it insurance.

Always replace clutch if motor or transmission is already out of the car.

It's one of those jobs where labor is the majority of the cost, so take advantage of the difficult labor already being paid for.

If you order from Miramar Audi, the cost for clutch disc, PP, and T/O bearing is only $300.
