Tested out my alarm system yesterday...
 

Had the windows down, alarm armed, reached in open the door, and "beep beep beep". No horn, nothing. It was the most ridiculous alarm system I've ever heard.

Can anyone shed any light on this? I believe readig in our manual that even if you push the panic button our horn should sound. What happened yesterday wouldn't scare away a cat.

Nope, just the "beep beep" .. Same thing on my 03 A4 3.0... Shouldn't have been
 

more trouble to get the horn the go on instead of just the "beep beep"...

So is that our pathetic alarm or is mine just a fluke I need to take care of?
