Default Azenis are not track tires

If you want track tires, buy real track tires. RA1s, V700s, something like that. Azenis are street/autox tires, they don't stand up to track abuse, especially not in something as heavy as an Audi.

Default Agreed.

They are a good compromise tire if you're only going to have one setup for street/track. But don't get them as a dedicated track tire. I did, and now I'm glad they are finally corded.

Nitto NT-01's or Toyo RA-1's next.

There are no cheap track tires 'cept used ones. 615's are not track tires.

Default Larry you better...

go with 16s. You need to support the weight of all of your ICE stuff. Or, just take the S6 to the track instead.

Pick up a recent issue of Grassroots Motorsports...there is a closout on Hankook Z211 r-compounds under way in our size (well, 225/40-18 which will work well on a stock rim) for around $120 per tire.
