Looking to move from my A4 Avant Quattro Black Edition to an S4 Avant. I've seen a couple of 2010 S4 Avant in good condition with around 70-90k on the clock. Will run the online checks before buying, but anything I should be looking out so that I don't get stung. Thanks

You should be worried about backlash from envious owners in NA that can't get a S4 Avant. Nothing really to be concerned about. These cars have been really reliable even with higher mileage. T stat will eventually fail. A protective screen over the radiator and IC radiator is recommended. Can be done DIY in an hr for about $10.Not only is the S4 a great car, it is reliable. Who would have thought that from Audi?

Oh my god! I'll take an s4 avant (in nogaro blue with a 6 speed manual for me) any day!
I don't know why they weren't available here!

The reason why they aren't available here in NA is that Audi was only selling about 200 units a year. It was Audi's decision not to bother to sell them in NA where everyone seems to want an SUV. So they give us the choice of an Allroad, Q5 or SQ5.
