I am still using the out of date 2010 maps and at my 75000 mi service I requ step the latest update. It's ridiculously expensive,but I'm told it is a full software update to not only the nav system. I'm trying to get some sort of explanation as to what is exactly updated, but that has proven harder than you would think. I tested software for the DoD for 12 years and know that I really should be able to get this information. Does anyone have any tech paper or other info on what a 2016 software update contains?

I called the dealer about my b8 2010,my is also outdated, you have to purchase the software which is like 300 and plus labor, around 450... Idk if it's worth it..

Surely not. I have a 2011 and thought about updating but decided to use Waze instead. I have a fancy magnetic holder for my phone and it works just fine.
