Hi All,

I've come across a 2010 S4 Premium Plus with about 25k miles on it.

I've been looking at S4s recently and the last one I saw as a '12 and it really caught my eye. I know the B8.5 has some facelifts to it, but I think I would be fine with a B8.

My question is more of, are there any significant differences from the 2010 to the 2012 models? I know the water pump and thermostat were known problems with the early B8s and I know this will fall into that category. However, the car will come with a fairly comprehensive warranty from the dealership (I have it on my N54 right now), so I know that will be covered under it.

Just want to get an understanding of what the thoughts are around the 2010 models and this particular one being at 23k miles from a long term ownership perspective.

Any thoughts would be appreciated!

I would buy it without thinking twice as long as it has a Sport Dif. The WP on all 2010s have already failed and been replaced. Audi gave those cars a 100k miles extended warranty on the engine and drive train. Not sure that is transferable to the next owner. 2010-2012 cars are basically the same. And the driving experience on all B8/B8.5 s4s is the same. the 2012 Prem+ cars may have a few extra features not available on the 2010s .Prestige models would be basically the same.I have gone from 2010 to 2014 and now drive a 2011, all with manual trans. Low mileage is more important than model year.
