I have a 2011 S4 with 105,000km on it.

For quite some time, I have been noticing a clicking/crunching sort of sensation, both audible, as well as through feedback in the gas pedal. It occurs only after starting the car and while accelerating, at a very low speed ~5km/h.

I have seen a similar issue reported across many different models of Audi's which has been identified as normal due to the ABS system engaging. However, reports of those problems are described as occurring around 25mph (40kmh), whereas mine is occurring near a crawl speed.

To further differentiate the sensation from what others have reported, it almost feels as though when I accelerate that somebody has somehow dropped a handful of tiny pebbles into the driver side engine or wheel well area... as weird as that sounds.

Has anybody experienced a similar situation?
