3 position seat heaters
I have the button for the seat heaters with 4 options (3, 2, 1, off). When I put it on the highest setting (3) it runs for maybe 4-5 minutes then automatically goes to setting 2. Is there some way to disable that so I can leave it on setting 3 or is that some safety feature to prevent the seat from torching?
I will say setting 3 gets pretty darn warm but its nice when its 0 degrees out.

I can't handle level 3 for more than a few minutes. I've turned it down well before any auto-shut off had time to happen. Maybe it's a safety feature so Audi doesn't have to deal with thermal injury lawsuits?

Yeah it gets pretty warm but if you're driving with an overcoat on level 3 doesn't feel like much...my guess is its to protect the seats I know I've seen a lot of burns on older models from the seat warmers.

Might be an American (Sue-happy) thing
I'm able to leave it in position 3 during my 45 minute commute to work.
I'm wearing my coat though (I know I shouldn't when driving that long, but that's just me)

Am I missing something. I have a button on the HVAC controls that if I activate it, a screen comes on the MMI display and it gives me 0-6 settings. At 6 the seats are not extremely warm. I have not yet had them shut it off. No rear seat heater in the US.
