Do we need to take off the plastic underbelly panel to install it that's under the engine?

Yes you will have to (and the front wheels must be off the ground).

Installation instructions:

The stock brace is quit a bit heavier than the Eurocode one!

You need to remove two panels, one under the engine & one under the transmission.

For power steering cooler a deep well 1/4" socket might be easier.

I'm not currently doing this, but I am curious why the front wheels must be off the ground? Is there a specific reason the wheels couldn't be on ramps?

There can't be any load on the suspension. I'd imagine you'd have a hard time getting the stock brace off and getting the holes to line up on the Alu Kreuz (since it is a brace ).

Is the chassis really that flexible when static? I can understand the necessity of the brace in dynamic motion to prevent chassis flex when the whole car is moving around corners. But will the suspension truly shift so much as to not line up with the wheels on ramps? The brace isn't the suspension only mount points correct? There is also no mention of this in the eurocode tuning pdf manual.

I'm curious what the bentley manual says regarding the stock replacement procedure.

Neal, Can you please weigh the stock brace, when you do the install? Also, weigh the Alu-Kreuz... I show it to be 7lbs total with everything... Thanks Ron
