Yes, this is why unless you have AudiCare, doing any work at the dealership is not the way to go.

$260 labor? Not even an hours work.

With overly inflated prices like these, yes Audi-care would be the way to go, but here lies the problem. They inflate the prices to make Audi care look like a deal. I'm OK with $100 for the parts, but ~$300 for labor, shop supplies and associated taxes is just plain ole fleecing!!

Welcome to the business world. Historically dealers are always more no matter what the brand. But I doubt you would find a huge difference with BMW or Mercedes. May I recommend Kia =)

Yes true, guess I was spoiled with the free BMW maintenance plan.

It's not free. It's factored into the cost of the car.

IMO if you are not going to do the work yourself, Audicare is the way to go.

Exactly, not sure why people are basically buying the equivalent of AudiCare, but not being given the choice to buy it or not like Audi does, they claiming it's "free."

There is NO such thing as free, there is always a cost associated and someone picks up the tab.

OK,OK, All please I don't want to turn this into a philosophical argument on what "Free" means thread. We all no nothing is truly free and yes BMW incorporates it int to the cost of the cars.

Try the Porsche dealership. :)

I went with Audicare... just didn't have the time to deal with little things.
