Default Audi -put the new S8 engine into the next RS4

If they put this beast into the new RS4 model - even if it costs $80+k I would buy it.

https://www.audiworld.com/news/11/40-tfsi/

this way M3 and C63 are dust in the wind, including CTS-V, Panamera, M5, or anything else for that matter...

If AMG can give the C-class, which is smaller than the A4 class, 500+ horsepower what stops Audi from doing it?

let's start a petition?

The car's design was probably finished a year ago... a petition won't do any good.

I know it will never happen, but seriously wish for it... "I have a dream..."

really don't understand why Audi is neglecting its US customer base... unlike BMW or Benz. M and AMG cars are everywhere here.

If it were not for the RWD and really ugly interiors I would be there.... R8, TTRS, RS5 - not practical at all....

The morons at Audi HQ don't know how to read sales charts:

"To date, approximately 10,000 B7 RS4s have been built, of which around 2,500 are in the USA.

Why not put the R8's 525 hp, 391 ft-lb V10 in the RS4?

The S8 with a tune most likely would out do that easily. Not to mention gas tax, and cafe regulations. FI>NA IMO.

To be honest I had a nasty response drafted, however I decided I'll just let you carry on through the narrow confines in which you apparently think when your making posts on this forum......

I would not buy it unless it comes in a 6MT option, despite the engine.

Thanks for the restraint (seriously). In turn I shouldn't have been so terse in my comment. I will say that there is a certain truth to the fact that most luxury car or sports car customers are not keeping fuel economy or overall cost as a key priority. If they were, then a Honda Fit would be far more efficient and economical. It's a nice perk that a base Corvette gets 27-28 mpg hwy, but that is not the reason a customer shows up at the dealership. It's the 400hp, handling, etc.
