Default Are b8 s4's reliable around 70 to 90 thousand miles?

I have been looking at 2010/2011 s4's for quite some time, and can only find ones with high mileage. If i can get one for around 21 or 25 grand is that a good deal? i really want one but do not want to deal with thousands in repairs. Please, i could really use some help here. Are they reliable cars when they get high in mileage??

- Thanks!

Default I own a '10 S4 with 126k miles

I have a 2010 S4 with 126k miles on it. No major repairs. Only a lost key. That was $375 for the key and $99 for programming. Make sure it comes with 2 keys.
Also, make sure you get an S4 with Sport Differential or else it is not worth it. My car doesn't like the cold. It stutters at first, but then it goes away. I think that was because it was driven in Georgia its whole life before bringing it up to NY.
i love the car, I hope I can get 300k miles out of it. I don't want to get rid of it. The B8 is my favorite Audi S4 model. I don't really care for the B8.5 look.
I need to keep my B8 until I can afford a B9 model.
I have owned an '07 B7 Audi A4 and drove it from 8 miles to 90k miles without any issues. I also owned 4 VW Jettas GLS '97 / GLI '05 /2.5 SEL '08 / TDI '12 and 1 VW Passat SE '08.
I drive a lot of miles and as you can see I have been a very loyal customer to The VW Comany.

The only issues or repairs that I ever needed was a fuel injector on the Passat. My fault it went, I wasn't driving it gently when it went. But it was covered under warrantee and my first '97 Jetta, I had to replace the transmission. Also my fault.
I hear horror stories, but I never personally experienced any problems with any of my VW/Audi Cars.

My 2011 has 73k miles and no issues other than a little oil consumption that I blame on a faulty PCV valve. I am the 3rd owner but believe the clutch is original

I read lots of the 2010 models have had problems with the transmission, in some cases resulting in very costly repairs!

Clearly this is not something you have had issues with but wondered if this is a known problem? I've also been looking at B8's and did find a nice 2010 with low milage but the various stories online had made me think twice....

For every horror story there is probably 500 happy customers, so I wouldn't sweat it too much. More cars will get totaled in wrecks than losing their transmissions or shelling the engine, and yet people still drive!

From the Audizine Forum, they all say the best trick to keep the transmission lasting is to stay away from flushing the transmission fluid.
I was going to replace my transmission fluid until I read that.
Mine guys said his transmission went 5k miles after flushing the transmission fluid.

anyone on this forum flush their transmission fluid yet? Did you have any problems after?
