Default B9 S4?

I know that the new A4 is scheduled to come out this year, but does Audi stagger release of the S4 so that it won't be available until next year? Currently deciding between getting the refreshed A6 or waiting for the S4.

Since the next A4 has not been shown at a car show yet. There is no reason to expect it before 2016 at the earliest.

In the past, when an new B platform car is realeased, Europe gets the A4 and S4 on the first year. S4 is available 1 model year later in NA. Can't say that will still be the case but I would eexpect it to be.

Lets face it the B9 is another year out. There is still hope that we will see the new A4 this year, but it's not very likely. Normally something would have been shown by now, right? My hope was that the B9 A4 would have been shown already, released this summer, followed by a B9 S4 release this time next year.

The good news is the B8 is still a very attractive car. I'm itching for something new myself, but can't justify an upgrade to a B8.5. Been thinking about a used C7 S6, but they are really hard to find. Perhaps I should go back to BMW, but there is something special about the Audi that I can't describe.

The B8 S4/A4 is now in its 6th yr of production and still is better than what BMW is offering . BMW released a new chassis 2 yrs ago and still doesn't measure up to the B8. Audi has no need to put out a new upgraded model. Of course they will. But there is no urgency since they have a winner now. And not much treat from BMW.

The good news is that by the time the B9 S4 comes out, the B9 A4 will have had 1 year to work out some of the common kinks/issues aside from the drivetrian. Give it another year before they stop asking MSRP for the B9 S4's and you are looking at 2017 for a good time to upgrade.

Thanks, I have seen most of them, but I'm really looking for a white one. While there is nothing like the look of a clean black car, I just don't have the time to wash it every week. The other big problem is that since they are hard to find, when you do find something, it may be 2000 miles away. I can't bring myself to drop $50k+ on a used car without putting my eyes on it.

More like every time you drive. Shows every spec of dirt. Great on the show room floor...not fun to live with every day.
