Hi,

The switch on the boot lid of my 2009 S4 Avant (the one above the number plate) doesn't work correctly.

When the boot is closed, it does nothing.
When the boot is open, this switch causes it to close!

Testing at the convenience switch connector (T32d/5) is correct. The pin is grounded when the button is pressed.

VCDS shows fault code 02242 Rear Lid Lock Button on Luggage Compartment (E406) 008 implausable signal.

The convenience system shows no faults.

Any thoughts?

My thought is that a 2009 S4 Avant is a rare bird, so the potential responder list is short. ..and BTW, I wish they made an S4 Avant NOW! (Hence me hanging on to a Saab wagon which I am about to replace )

You've already done some diagnostics...maybe no one has the problem and/or knows the answer. Let's see what happens on Audizine. Good luck...enjoy the car.

The car's for sale now. I've started long distance commuting so back to an A3 diesel for me.
