Here is my 2 cents since I have had both in the past year. My 2010 S4 had alcantara and my new Ice Silver 2013 has nappa leather. I much prefer the alcantara for several reasons. One it always looked clean and that is letting my year old walk all over the seats with shoes on. Never had to do anythign special to keep clean. Now with the Nappa I have to take his shoes off because it shows everything. Also the leather gets very hot in the summer months whereas the alcantara stayed very cool and comfy. The alcantara also hugs you better in the turns! As you can see I regret getting Nappa! Oh well it's a lease so in less than 3 years I'm sure I'll be in something new.

virsipe - I didn't forget about the pic I promised I'd post. I picked up my car last night and the stoneguards (which I did order and pay for) were not installed. The dealer ordered the alu-optic stoneguards today and will install them as soon as they get here.

Heard from the dealer today. It turns out that the stone guards that come with the alu-optic package are not the same color as the mirrors. In fact, they look very much like they could be ice silver. The dealer said they were not aware that the stoneguard color did not match the mirrors. They said that they were very sorry and want to know what they can do for me ... hmmm.

Needless to say, I don't recommend getting the stoneguards on an ice silver car.
