DIY Sunglass holder - EASY, DISCREET AND FUNCTIONAL!

Ok - i'll admit. I'm no handyman. But when I picked up my 2013 S4 I noticed that my raybans didn't fit in the sunglass holder. I tried the sunglass clip for the visor but it took away from the beauty of the interior. Functional, yes. Attractive, no. So, I found something that worked quite well, was discreet, protective, and best of all, functional.

I took my RayBan sunglass case, folded back the lid, and it fits snugly into the front door panel. Voila. Discreet and functional. Like I said. I'm no handyman, but this works GREAT!!!

Nice. I keep sunglasses in the door pocket as well. Never thought of folding the soft lid that way though, thanks. The built-in sunglass holder continues to be useless to me.

Nice use. I am lucky that my old Oakley Minute fits in it but my girls glasses are freaking huge but she puts them in the under seat storage bins that I added on(and Audi should have put on). Just big enough to fit 4-5 Special K protein bars and my wallet on my side and her sunglasses on the other. LOL

lol the stock B8 sunglasses holder is suitable for john lennon or dieter's glasses...maybe...and that's about it.

Funny, when we bought our B8 A4 Avant, it was 3 months 'used'. After a few months of owning it, we noticed the sunglasses holder up above the mirror and popped it to try to put a pair in. there was already a pair of ray bans in there. I contacted the owner but he said to keep them (he had moved out of the country).

They are very, very small...and none of my sunglasses I've owned in the 4 years of owning the car could possibly fit in the holder. It does provide a useful sun block, similar to the built in above-the-mirror mini visor on my B7. But that's about all. We leave the P.O.'s glasses in there for times when we have forgotten to bring our own.

Nice of you to even contact the former owner Saki! I wish the rental car company had contacted me for a pair I know I left behind in their car. I called them later that day and they said nothing had turned up.
