Default ECS Carbino Intake Question for Owners

Hey guys so I picked up an s4 a few months ago and have been looking into intake options. Like most cars I understand that performance gains aren’t anything crazy.

That said, I was curious how well this cf lid seals around the heat shield and such... as the oem box is very air tight and has ridges that must line up perfect. I’d ask ECS, but I’d prefer personal opinions from those who own it themselves.

Thanks in advance!!

After looking more at their install directions, I can see that it is just a cf lid and heat shield combo with an open filter. Why would you switch from an air box with high flow filter to this aside from looks?? Which it looks awesome. Hmm...

After more research, this is the version that I would get that completely seals off the intake from the engine bay? If so, then the original question applies for people who own it. Thanks!!!
