I am looking for an after market exhaust, which system has a nice deep note but not cheap sounding. For comparative reasons i would like it to sound like a v10 (I know its a V6) not a lawn mower.

I also plan on getting the 93 APR ECU tune if it matters.

i know very little about exhaust so please tell explain things like you are talking to a newbie.

I think Miltek non resonated will have the sound closest to what you are looking for. There are lots of you tube videos of exhausts, do a search on it. I picked Miltek based on that and I'm happy. I have the same tune. It is an awesome combo. There have been MANY threads on the different after market exhausts, do a search and you will see. The Miltek non res seems to most approximate a "V8 sound". Does drone a little at highway speeds, but seems to get better after it breaks in (or I'm used to it?)

I feel like you never get a true sound on youtube. you have to see it in person and not to many people in my area have S4s let alone after market S4s

Here's a video I shot of a DSG S4 with APR and my 6MT S4 with the Milltek Non-res. This video was shot the day after the exhaust on my car was installed and now that it has some miles on it the sound of the exhaust has really got a beautiful roar. It's never intrusive in the cabin while driving and sounds almost exotic at WOT. I can't tell you how many compliments I've recieved on how my car sounds. I LOVE my Milltek.

this may sound ridiculous, but if i wanted to install the system my self is this easily done or i should pay to have it done.
